The programme provides the graduates with the abilities of understanding and practical application of the current methods of solving the problems in social policy and employment policy as well as the abilities of evaluation of the problems and policies.
The programme is recommended especially to those applicants who are interested in development of social policies and employment policies in a global perspective, with strong emphasis on European welfare states. The programme content focuses on assessment, designing and implementation of social and labour market/employment policies.
Who can apply for this programme?
Admission to a Master’s degree programme is conditional on graduating from a Bachelor’s degree programme in Social policy or Public policy or some other close social science field like (Public) economics, Public administration, Developmental studies. When assessing the applications we expect that the students acquired basic pre-requisites to complete our study programme: the transcript of courses should include courses on Social research methods, Statistics or Quantitative methods, Social policy or Public policy or closely related courses like Social work, Social/community development, Public administration, some courses in Economics, some courses in Sociology or Political science.
We seek students with a strong interest in the development of contemporary public policies in general and in social and labour market policies in particular who want to research topics such as policy changes, evaluation of social programmes.
